Tips for optimal suction:

For a perfect seal, press down on the centre of the divider (or on the outer edge if using it as a simple plate) onto a clean, smooth, non-textured surface. A very slightly damp surface can strengthen the suction. However, take care: if the table is too wet, the plate may slip.
